Footmates® is very proud to be able to offer, beginning in Spring 2022, our first selection of “Sustainability Project” footwear.
These select items have been produced with our Project’s “Guiding Principles” in mind, and are the culmination of all of our internal research and discussions with our production, sourcing, and design partners around ways to make our Footmates® products “more sustainable”.
These items are not perfect, but they are the start of what we know will be the future of all Footmates® products and what we believe will be the future of all footwear over time.

Guiding Principles for the Footmates® “Sustainability Project”:
- Produce “High Quality” Footmates® products.
High quality footwear lasts longer and allows you to purchase LESS shoes over time.
Consuming less is the number one way to lower your carbon footprint and therefore lesson your environmental impact.
- Use more Recycled Materials.
Recycled materials save energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce waste to landfills, and prevent pollution associated with harvesting new raw materials.
- Use Advanced Materials.
Technologically advanced materials can provide superior performance and can be more animal and environmentally friendly.
- Reduce and Reuse.
Reducing the amount of materials used in products and packaging can lower the environmental impact.
- The most efficient way to reduce waste is to not create it in the first place. Lower material usage reduces the amount of waste created throughout the production of a product and also reduces the waste that can end up in landfills at the end of a products lifecycle.
- Lower material usage can equal less weight. When footwear or packaging is lighter in weight, it has less mass and therefore has less of a carbon footprint. Lowering the weight also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation throughout the product lifecycle.
Reuse provides an excellent, environmentally-preferred alternative to other waste management methods, because it reduces air, water and land pollution, limits the need for new natural resources, such as timber, petroleum, fibers and other materials, and conserves the limited space in our existing landfills.
Every foot is unique and every brand utilizes different shoe specifications when making their shoes. Thus, there is no single or "perfect" measuring device for all footwear brands. Trying the shoes on is still the only way to truly know if you have selected the correct size with the proper "growing room" for the shoe you are purchasing.
With this in mind, and utilizing our decades long experience with fitting children in the Footmates® and Tsukihoshi® footwear brands, we have developed unique "Sizing Tools" for Footmates® and Tsukihoshi®.

Each "Sizing Tool" is specific to either the Footmates® or Tsukihoshi® brand and attempts to take into consideration all the unique size and fitting attributes of the brand. These "Sizing Tools" are not perfect, but they are the best that anyone can do in getting you close to the correct shoe size.

Free Shipping
We offer free ground shipping within the contiguous U.S. on all orders.
- Orders to residential or commercial addresses will be shipped via UPS or FedEx and should arrive 1-5 days after the order has been processed and shipped.
- Orders being delivered to PO Boxes or APO/FPO/DPO locations will be shipped via UPS SurePost (delivered by the USPS) and should arrive within 2-7 days after the order has been processed and shipped.
A shipping fee of $25.00 will apply to all orders with delivery addresses in Alaska or Hawaii. Please allow 4-6 days for delivery of these orders after processing and confirmation of shipping.
Two Business Day expedited shipping (Second Day Air by 5pm) is available within the contiguous U.S. at a cost of $30.00 per order. Footmates.com does not not guarantee nor take responsibility for the timely delivery of any expedited shipping service. Shipping cost refunds will not be provided.
Next Day expedited shipping services and International shipping options are not available at this time.
Address Changes
If you need to make a change to your delivery address, please contact us immediately! Please provide the order number, your email, and the new delivery address when submitting this request. Contact us now.
We will do our best to change the shipping address on any order, however, depending on the amount of time after the order has been placed, address changes may be subject to a Change Order Fee of $25.00.
If we can catch the order in our fulfillment center than no fee will be charged. If the order has shipped and we must recall the shipment from UPS and re-ship the order to a new address, then the $25.00 Change Order Fee will apply.
Return Policy
We want you to love your shoes! If you have ordered the wrong size, like one color better than another, or have any other issue, you can always return your order for free so long as:
- Your items are unworn, undamaged, in new condition (i.e. no creases or wear and no dirt or marks on the sole), and in their original packaging.
- You submit your return request within 30 days of receiving your original order.
We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet the above criteria.

Email notices will be generated throughout the entire return process so you will always know where your return is in our workflow.
Once we have received and approved your return, please allow 5-7 days for any issued credit to post back to your original method of payment.

Exchanges
In order to get you the shoes you want as fast as possible, we do not offer an exchange program. Simply place a new order for the item or size desired, then visit our Returns Center to send back what you no longer need. Both shipping and return shipping are free!

Order Processing
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1 business day of when they are placed. High volume days may result in an additional day delay, but those instances are very rare (Black Friday - Cyber Monday).

Hours of Operation
We simply adore our customer service and fulfillment staff and we want you to feel the same way. The thing is, they can't be here every hour of every day.
Our normal hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Eastern Time. Our offices and distribution center are closed Saturday and Sunday, as well as most other national holidays such as New Year's Eve/Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve/Day.
If you happen to contact us outside of our normal hours of operation, please know that we will answer your inquiry as soon as possible on our next operational day.
